Offering Digital Photos of Ancestral Hungarian Villages
An important component of genealogy research is photography. Many families in the US today have their origins in Hungary or in counties that once belonged to Hungary. My service makes it possible to visit the places where your parents, grandparents, or great grandparents were born and raised. Often, other family members are discovered and the ties to this homeland are made even more memorable and valuable. Order the photos by e-mail and I will send them to you by e-mail followed by a professional quality CD via regular mail.

Prices
Prices start at $200 US. This price could change depending on the distance to be traveled. The price includes $200 for 50 photographs plus an additional $40 - $240 for travel expenses. (Distance is counted from Szabolcs County and is also dependent on gas prices) You can order photos for more than one village at the same time and travel costs will be counted once. For more than two villages, prices are negotiable. I accept PayPal, all major credit cards, money orders, or personal checks.

Availability
My service is available for the entire territory of modern Hungary, and for the nearby countries of Romania, Ukraine and Slovakia.

Quality
The original photos taken by my camera are 3264 x 2448 pixels. These file sizes are too large to send via e-mail. I will resize the photos to 1024 x 768 and send them by e-mail. The original-size photos burned onto a CD-R will be shipped by airmail. Ordering a CD is not neccesary but highly recommended due to the better quality of photos. The CD costs $30, postage included.

Other Services
Do you want to make contact with your relatives but you don't know Hungarian? No problem. I can help you. Once I am in your ancestral village, I will ask the local people about your relatives. In this way, I have managed to find relatives several times. Unfortunately, this is not practical in the larger towns or in big cities. Prices are negotiable. You will be charged if you are satisfied with the provided information. I can also take images of old photographs, birth records, documents or anything else your relatives may want to share. You can order more than 50 photos of each village.
