I want to again thank you for the fantastic pictures that you took of Berea and Ghenci (Bere & Gencs) Romania. They are the next best thing to actually being there. You have captured the feeling of the everyday life in those villages and the people that live there.

The service that you provide is truly unique and is invaluable to those of us looking for our "roots". The picture quality is amazing and the scenes that you seem to actually put a person there with you.

This is the second time that I have used your services and I couldn't be happier with the results. Each time you have been successful in finding relatives in a short period of time while I couldn't through traditional means. I would have no problem recommending you to anyone looking for great photos of towns and villages of their ancestors.

I want to tell one and all how pleased I am with the photographs you took of the village of Lupsa on the Aries (Aranyos) River in Transylvania. (Lupsa is, from all the ancestral work I have done over the years, the locale that my ancestors came from sometime before 1822.) Your photographs were of a high quality and more numerous than expected. By sending photos in two qualities with one set suitable for emails and small prints and the other for print enlargements was much appreciated. I also appreciated so very much the observations you made about the village and also your email answers to a number of questions that came to mind after viewing the photographs. When I was confused as to location of one photo to another your sketch map of where each photo was taken was of immeasurable value. Also, from your clues in your comments I was able to make further searches on the history of Lupsa and its people on the Internet. As others have also said, you were very prompt in filling my request. I would highly recommend your services to anyone interested in seeing and knowing what the village or town of their ancestors is like today. Thank you for your excellent professional work on my behalf.

Thank you so very much for all you have done for me. It had been ten years since I visited my relatives in Ungvar (Uzhgorod) and Antalocz (Antalovci) and I wanted new pictures. Your prompt service was incredible. Immediately you knew a local fellow near Ungvar who contacted my relatives and acted as a translator because only the older generation of my relatives still speak Hungarian. The very next weekend you were there visiting them. I ordered extra photos and you agreed to stay an extra day to make sure you would meet everybody and have a opportunity to take lots of photos. The results were fantastic. The photos were wonderful. I could never take photos of such artistic quality. My photos from ten years ago are not close to the quality of yours. You took photos of the city, the village, and my relatives and their homes. Also you connected with my relatives on my behalf which was really very special and priceless. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. If anyone reads this on your web site and wishes to contact me, I would be honoured to act as a reference.

The photos you took of the Villages of Gencs (Ghenci) and Bere (Berea) where awesome!

The village of Gencs is the birthplace of my Grandfather and Bere is where my Grandmother was born. You where able to capture the feeling of these villages, and I could just picture my grandparents walking through those streets and playing in the fields. The scenes you captured with your camera looked like a painting, they where that artistic. Words can not describe the way you captured the churches, I was humbled just looking at them.

I want to also thank you for going that extra step in looking for existing relatives. I have been searching records of villages and towns for years and you found them in one visit. I have been corresponding with them and have exchanged pictures. Finding these relatives and discovering and entire side of a family that you didn't know existed is simply amazing. We have been corresponding regularly and catching up on our histories from both sides of the world.

I will utilize your services in the future to take more photos of these villages. You are prompt, courteous and go that extra mile to provide a truly unique service to those of us searching for our "roots"

Please feel free to have anyone looking for a reference to contact me.

Thank you Imre for once again taking the memorable photography that you did for the villages of Damoc and Komloska in Zemplen Megye.

Komloska was the birthplace of my great grandfather. It was especially touching to see pictures of the Churches in both villages and the beautiful surrounding landscapes. You know so well how to capture the heart of the village. The Church Records and pictures of the Priests in both Greek Catholic Churches we also appreciate very much.

Damoc, birthplace of my mother in law and all her family was a once in a lifetime visit in pictures. Your personal follow-up with information about both places we thank you for.

Imre, your work is of the highest quality. Your service is courteous, prompt and exactly what we asked for. Thank you.

This was our third village and we look forward to more. We would very highly recommend your services to anyone desiring a memorable visit to their ancestral village in photography.

Imre's photography services are worth every penny! His photos are works of art, and he is very professional. He contacted some distant relatives and sent us some amazing photographs, including monuments (with names visible) and beautiful landscapes. If you have an interest in seeing what your ancestors' village is like today, Imre is by far the best!

I very highly recommend Imre's photograhy services. My recent, superior experiences with Imre have proven him to be HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY, RELIABLE, DEPENDABLE and EFFICIENT. The 200+ village photos (Turistvandi, Kolcse, Kispeleske, Szurte) surpassed and exceeded all expectations. Additionally, he contacted and/or photographed "missing" relatives, any old photos, documents, etc. for my genealogy files. Moreover, his services are very, very inexpensive compared to an "on site" visit.

I just completed a 10 day trip to Hungary with a tour group. For 3 of those days I hired Imre to drive me, my son and cousin around to the villages to meet the family members he had located via his photo service. Imre not only drove us, but acted as translator and guide! He became an honorary family member everywhere we went! The last day in Budapest, Imre picked us up again and took us to see some major attractions which we would not have seen on the packaged tour. Without him, our trip would not have been as fun or educational! I highly recommend future travellers to consider this option. When the rest of our family goes to Hungary in 2005, I will be sure to use Imre's services again!

For those of you considering employing Imre, absolutely do not hesitate. My sister Jade and I requested that Imre visit an ancestral village, Edeleny, in NE Borsod Megye in Hungary. Our request was highly unusual in that our Mom had emigrated to America in 1929 and when she passed away in 1963 our family brought her remains to the earth where she played as a child in the hills of Edeleny. A grave marker was set. However, now no one knew where it was. We asked Imre as well as photographing the area, could he locate the grave marker? He said absolutely, he would try. Thus began an adventure involving many people. The marker has miraculously been found in the forest. The photos of it and the hills and town are stunning, superlative: not only is the color true and vibrant, but the composition is exquisite and the sensitivity very real and heartfelt. If you need a driver or a photographer, this is your man. Do not hesitate. Be confident.

Imre service is all that he promises and more. He keeps you informed all along the way. I shared his photo's with our family and everyone was pleased with his professional work. He does far more than the photos. He tries to locate family member and provide information and contacts where practical. We lost track of our family in 1956. He has reestablish contact to our family in Hungary and Romania. I look forward to using his services again.

I have hired Imre about 5 times since the first time in 2002. He has taken photos of Boldogkoujfalu, Inancs, Felsovadasz, Gadna, Ujlak and Szanticska. At Inancs, he found some of our relatives that we knew nothing about. We plan to visit them this year. Not only is Imre an excellent photographer, he is a personal representative for those of us interested in family history and genealogy. This is one partnership/friendship that I value and hold in high regard and plan to continue to make use of. I highly recommend this service to all Hungarian/Americans or anyone in other countries that have Hungarian roots! Take advantage of it!

Imre, your work is outstanding! Everything about your service was outstanding - the quality of the pictures, communication, timeliness, price, etc. I would strongly recommend your services to all. I have already made a couple referrals to you. It has been a real pleasure.

When I first discovered Imre's web site and inquired about his services, I asked him to travel to my old Hungarian ancestral town of Lácza (now Lácascéke) in Zemplén. Imre responded by sending me an incredible set of photographs that showed the village in all of its glory -- parts of which seemed unchanged for at least a century or more.

His photos inspired me to travel to Lácza and see the wonders with my own eyes. I don't speak Hungarian, and my aunt (who accompanied me on my journey) spoke very little, so Imre volunteered to meet us in the town and help us uncover our family's history.

With Imre's help we were introduced to the local parish priest who helped us find the locations of two houses where my family had lived for hundreds of years before they immigrated to the United States in the early 1900's. One of the houses was still standing, the other was long since demolished.

With Imre's help we were able to enter the existing house. We touched the walls and walked on the very floorboards that my great-great-grandfather had hewn out of wood gathered from the nearby forest. Standing on the empty lot where my family had a carpenter's shop was more magnificent than seeing the Danube at sunset. It was just a field, overgrown with wild grass and shrubs, but for me it was more beautiful than any sight in the country.

Thank you, Imre. I am happy to have discovered your web site, and even happier to have had the pleasure to say, "Köszönöm" to you in person in Lácza.

Imre traveled into the Ukraine to photograph the village of Tecso in the old Hungarian county of Maramaros for me. The result was a wonderful set of 80 photographs that really captured the flavor and content of the village. I am very happy with the results. Imre also established a local contact for me that hopefully will allow me to continue my research in an area that is almost impossible to access from where I live.
Many, Many thanks Imre!

I hired Imre to take photographs of my ancestral Hungarian villages of Tiszabökény and Tiszapéterfalva, formerly of Ugocsa County, now a part of Ukraine. I am very appreciative! The pictures are great, but, more importantly, Imre went out of his way to make sure that I was satisfied. He even braved the Ukrainian border! The pictures were sent immediately by e-mail. I had asked Imre to take photos of specific places, which he did. I sent him a family tree and he was able to find three families that may be cousins. It was amazing to see the villages that my great grandparents came from!
Thank you.

Imre has done a magnificent job of capturing in photography my family's Ancestral Village of Timar, Szabolcs Megye. His work is very professional and the service is prompt and courteous. Whatever pictures I requested Imre to take were received.

My mother and both sets of my grandparents were born in Timar. Seeing the photographs and especially of the Greek Catholic Church exactly the way mother remembered it over 80 years ago are an absolute treasure.

My husband and I would highly recommend his services to anyone wishing a visit to their Ancestral Village in photography. We are sure that they will be as pleased as we are.

Hi Imre. I'm happy to sign your guestbook and thank you for the great work you did for me in Szendrölád, home of my grandparents. The photos are great, and, hopefully, the contacts you made will prove to be even more exciting. I'm looking forward to hearing from Miklos and will keep you advised. I'd be happy to recommend your services to anyone.

I asked Imre to help me with a course I was taking entitled, "Visual Ethnographic Research". I asked him to photograph the home towns of my paternal grandparents. He not only sent me 221 photographs depicting life in these towns, but he helped me locate cousins that I did not know existed. He helped with local history and one of my cousins there is now helping me with the research. He is professional, but fits the description of a good friend as well. I highly reccommend him to anyone who cannot make the trip themselves. He has been a second pair of eyes, ears, and feet.
Thanks, Imre!

At my request, Imre visited the Hungarian village of Vitka and took a wide selection of excellent pictures. He works very quickly and the pictures are send via the internet. Highly recommended.

Several weeks ago I inquired about Imre's services and after procrastinating awhile decided to go ahead and give him a try. Within a week, I received an e-mail from him with 50 photos of my grandmother's village, Kisgejőcz, now in Ukraine, attached. But, that was not all!

Hopeful that some relatives might still be there, I had e-mailed a chart showing what I knew about the family and asked Imre to take it with him--just in case. I could not believe my eyes when the e-mail came and said "COUSINS FOUND" and "PHOTOS ATTACHED." Included in those 50 photographs were several pictures of cousins I did not know even existed. The biggest surprise was one of the pictures was a photograph of an old photograph of my own grandmother!

Needless to say, I was/am VERY PLEASED with Imre's services and definitely recommend him to anyone wanting to "see" what their ancestral villages look like today. Although, I truly hope to visit Hungary and Ukraine someday soon, sometimes it is easier said than done, and at least now, there is a way we can have a few pictures to along with those Family Trees we've all been working so hard on ;-)

I invite you to take a look at what I've done with some of those pictures and hope that it will encourage you to "visit" the homeland of your ancestors, as well.

Imre did a wonderful job. The pictures were perfect. He also went above and beyond the pictures in getting for me "souvenirs" of my ancesteral village. I recommend him highly.

"Your Ancestral Village At Your Fingertips!" It is with great pleasure that I sign this guestbook. I would like all American Hungarians to learn about this great site. If you have ever wondered what your ancestral village looks like than please take the time and hire Imre and his company. The pictures he sent back to me were beyond words. They were just perfect. This company even went to the cemetery and took pictures of my ancestors graves for me! I believe Imre and his company to "go that extra mile" for his clients. I was even pleased so much that I hired him again for another one of my ancestral villages. I think you too will be pleased when you hire this company. I know I was! Please contact Imre today!
